Xylopal: Poetry in Prose is dedicated to showcasing prose poetry that is thoughtful, strange, and alive. We work to champion emerging and established authors in this oddball tradition rife with experimentation and the ordinary music of the human voice.
The name “Xylopal” refers to a type of petrified wood- lovely opal inhabiting the space where an ancient tree once was. In the age of AI, where human created art is not always a given, Xylopal hopes to be a testament to the transformative power of the craft of poetry.
